Facebook says the videos that play automatically in your News Feed make for "an easier way to watch " but it's highly unlikely you want every native video in your stream coming to life.
If automatically playing videos drive you insane, we can help. With only a few simple tweaks in your settings, it's easy to keep clips static as you scroll through your feed.
You can click on the link https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=videos
and then Hit the down arrow to change your option to "Off."
On the web
Click on the down arrow icon at the top-right of your Facebook homepage. Scroll down the menu, and click "Settings."
Click on the "Videos" option at the very bottom of the left-hand settings menu. Under "Video Settings," you'll now see options for "Auto-play Videos."
Hit the down arrow to change your option to "Off."
